Bonnaroo 2018

Festival guide

"Bonnaroo" is Creole slang for "a really good time", and that's pretty much the vibe you can expect at this year's edition of the renowned festival. Taking place June 7th to 10th at the Great Stage Park in Manchester, TN, it's got an amazing line-up: whether you're into rap, disco, R&B or even stadium rock, there's something here for you. You can look at the full line-up here, and check out our picks below.

Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals

With his 2016 album Malibu carving its place as a favorite among critics and fans alike, the uplifting rap-meets-funk-meets-soul-meets-jazz is truly something else. The Californian's new music is - perhaps predictably - really exciting, and we think this show with his band, the Free Nationals, is pretty much unmissable.

    Amadou & Mariam

This Malian music duo (and married couple) have been making funky fusion jams that sparkle with sunshine since as far back as 1974. With each year the pair's music gets more accomplished and shiny and fun - their latest album, last year's La Confusion was a gorgeous slice of afropop. If you want a good, euphoric dance, you'll want to get to this.

    Pond

If you want psychedelia in 2018, down under is the place for it: and thankfully Pond, a band at the forefront of the blossoming Australian scene will be making an appearance. Sharing members with fellow Oz hippies Tame Impala, their kaleidoscopic guitar sounds are very much worth catching this weekend.
