7digital What we said: Always leave them wanting more: that’s what they say, isn’t it? Mission accomplished, Mac DeMarco – eight new tracks is definitely not enough for us. Like 2014’s Salad Days, the charismatic Canadian’s new mini-album is another home-recorded affair, and what it lacks in production polish it more than makes up for in drunk guitars, drowsy organ sounds and infinitely-hummable vocal hooks. Yes, it’s two songs too short, but at least Mac’s left his address and an invitation to visit at the end of ‘My House By The Water’: maybe we could all stop by for a cup of joe and a sneak preview of any as-yet unreleased material?
