7digital What we said: Back in 2009, while their classmates were squabbling over boys and stressing about exams, Swedish siblings Klara and Johanna Soderberg were pouring their precocious talents into debut album, The Big Black and Blue. It proved a wise move: three years on, they’ve toured the world, recorded with Jack White and secured Bright Eyes-producer Mike Mogis to drive the desk on their sophomore effort. Unsurprisingly, The Lion’s Roar is less pared-back than its processor and sees the sisters swap fireside folk for some warm, country-rock vibes that compliment their mellifluous vocal harmonies perfectly.
