7digital What we said: What a difference an album makes: pre-Teen Dream, Beach House were the cherished secret of clued-up musos, post-Teen Dream they were suddenly hot property. Fortunately, the Baltimore duo kept their heads during the ensuing media storm, escaping to Texas with Grizzly Bear-producer Chris Coady to lay down the follow-up. Recorded in just seven weeks, the beatific Bloom is a wonderful reminder of why we fell so hard for Beach House in the first place. Offering a plethora of swoon-worthy melodies, hewn from billowy organ arpeggios and Victoria Legrand’s swelling vocals, this is dream-pop par excellence.
