To say Yukimi Nagano’s hot property nowadays is putting it mildly. In fact, having spent the past couple of years loaning her silky-smooth vocals to acts like Maximum Balloon, Gorillaz and SBTRKT, it’s a wonder she found time at all to record Little Dragon’s third studio album. We’re exceedingly glad she did because Ritual Union is a blinder. A heady mix of skittish beats, icy-cool synths and those aforementioned smoother-than-Gold Blend tones, this masterclass in electro-pop and neo-soul ought to allow all four Swedes to enjoy the trappings of success already afforded to their front woman.
